Terms of Service

1. The service

VocaTTS lets you turn text, subtitle files and documents into audio, create custom voices, and hold spoken conversations with an AI model. Speech is produced by third-party engines, including Google, Microsoft Azure, Google Gemini and OpenAI.

Features, voices and limits may change as those engines change. We will not describe a feature as available unless it works on the site.

2. Accounts

Some features work without an account; custom voices, paid plans and larger limits need one. Keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for activity under your account, and you should tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use VocaTTS to:

• impersonate a real person, or create audio meant to deceive people about who is speaking;
• produce content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative, or that infringes someone else's rights;
• commit fraud, including voice-based scams or attempts to bypass voice verification systems;
• overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or get around usage limits.

4. Voice cloning and custom voices

You may clone only your own voice, or the voice of a person who has given you explicit permission and who reads the consent statement themselves. Using someone else's recording, a public figure's voice, or a voice you have no right to use is prohibited.

Voice cloning is not offered in every region; it is currently unavailable in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, Switzerland, Illinois and Texas. Custom voices require a paid plan, occupy a slot on that plan, are stored by the voice provider for up to one year, and can be deleted by you at any time.

We may remove a custom voice and suspend the account if we receive a credible complaint that a voice was created without the speaker's consent.

5. Your content and generated audio

You keep the rights you have in the text, files and recordings you submit, and you confirm you are allowed to use them. On a paid plan you may use the audio you generate in personal and commercial projects. You are responsible for how you publish it and for following the rules of the platforms where you publish it.

Some providers attach their own conditions to synthetic audio. Where those apply, you must follow them too.

6. Credits and payments

Usage is measured in credits. Different voices cost different amounts per character, and the rate is shown in the tool. Monthly plans give a credit allowance for 30 days; yearly plans cover 12 months with a monthly refill; one-time credits stay valid for 12 months.

Payments are taken once, by card or PayPal account through PayPal, or by bank transfer through SePay. Nothing renews or charges automatically. Credits are normally added within seconds of a successful payment. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred.

7. Refunds

You can ask for a refund within 3 days of payment if you have used no more than 1% of the credits in that purchase. The refund policy explains the full conditions.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep VocaTTS running, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, especially when an upstream voice provider has an outage. We may change, limit or withdraw features, and we will update these terms when we do something that affects your rights.

9. Disclaimers and liability

VocaTTS is provided as is. AI-generated speech can mispronounce words or sound different from what you expect, so review audio before you publish it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim.

10. Suspension and closing your account

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. You may stop using VocaTTS at any time and ask us to delete your account.

11. Changes to these terms

When we update these terms we change the date at the top. Continuing to use VocaTTS after an update means you accept the new version.
