Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 5, 2026

This policy explains what information VocaTTS handles when you use the site, why, and what you can do about it. Voice data gets its own section because it is the most personal thing you can give us.

1. What we collect

  • Account details: your email address and name, or the basic profile shared by Google when you sign in with Google.
  • Content you submit: text, subtitle files and documents you convert, and the audio we generate from them, kept in your history so you can download it again.
  • Usage records: credits used, voices chosen, and request times, which we need for billing and abuse prevention.
  • Order records: plan, amount, date and payment status. Card and PayPal details are handled by PayPal; bank transfers go through SePay. We do not receive your card number.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and approximate country, used for security, rate limits and choosing a default payment method.

2. Voice recordings and custom voices

To clone a voice you upload or record a short sample and a consent statement. These recordings are sent to Google Gemini to create the voice and to verify consent. VocaTTS does not keep the raw recordings afterwards.

The resulting voice is stored by the provider for up to one year so you can keep using it. Deleting a voice in VocaTTS removes it from the provider and frees the slot on your plan. Designed voices are created from your text description and are handled the same way.

3. Talk to Gemini

During a voice chat, your microphone audio is streamed to Google Gemini to produce a reply. The audio is not recorded or stored. A text transcript and basic usage data are kept to enforce session limits and prevent abuse.

4. How we use information

On paid plans your content is not used to train AI models. For guests and free accounts, content may be used to improve service quality. VocaTTS does not show advertising and does not sell personal data.

  • to generate the audio and voices you ask for;
  • to run your account, apply plan limits and credit your purchases;
  • to answer support requests;
  • to detect fraud, voice misuse and attacks on the service.

5. Providers that process data for us

Text and voice data are sent to the speech provider that powers the voice you choose: Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Google Gemini or OpenAI. Payments are processed by PayPal or SePay. Our servers and storage are run by hosting providers. Each receives only what it needs for its part of the job.

6. Cookies and local storage

We use a sign-in cookie to keep you logged in and browser storage for preferences such as theme, language and unsaved drafts. These are needed for the site to work. We do not use advertising cookies.

7. How long we keep data

Account and order records are kept while your account is open and afterwards for as long as accounting and tax rules require. Generated audio in your history is deleted on request or when your account is deleted. Custom voices last up to one year unless you delete them sooner.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated content. Email us from the address on your account so we can confirm it is you. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.

9. Security

Traffic to VocaTTS is encrypted, and API requests between our site and servers are signed. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you do not reuse elsewhere and tell us if you notice anything suspicious.

10. Children

VocaTTS is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes

We will update the date above when this policy changes, and highlight significant changes on the site.
